About me

Hello. I offer individual counselling, Jungian psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, Jungian sandplay therapy, couples counselling, and supervision. Therapy can be short-term or long-term. Usually people work with me in an open-ended way, which means that we continue until you feel that you're ready to start winding down.

My way of working is integrative - I integrate several approaches. One of these is Jungian, which means that I see our work together as a part of your unfolding journey throughout life. My work is also person-centred: you are valued for who you are, and you decide what you want to focus on in our sessions.

Another approach that I use is psychodynamics, which is about the unconscious processes which inform the way we all behave. Our work might involve looking at patterns of behaviour in relationships, perhaps influenced by events early in your life.

I have experience in helping people with issues in many areas, including bereavement, family and relationships, depression, anger, affairs, anxiety, abuse, low self-esteem, eating disorders, dissociative disorders,
low self-confidence, child-related, stress, work related, family, sexuality, termination, abandonment, dependency, loss and change.

My practice is queer friendly, gender affirmative, and neurodivergence aware. I am able to work with transcultural issues, ethnicity, and experiences of racialisation.

If you'd like to talk with me to see how we get on, I'd be happy to chat on the phone about what you're looking for. If you'd like to come and see me for an initial session, you can then decide whether you'd like to continue.

Please see my website for further details.

British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure.
