About me

I am a highly qualified psychotherapist, counsellor and life coach with over 15 years experience. I offer an affordable rate to make psychotherapy, counselling and life coaching more accessible to individuals. My private practise is located within a peaceful, private and confidential setting on a nature reserve near Strachur. I offer Skype, FaceTime and telephone sessions for those who can not make it to my practice. I also provide a home visits service within the Argyll and Bute area.

I also run therapy retreats for individuals, providing double room with bed and breakfast facilities. For further information please follow link on my website to wildingbee.com

I am an Experiential Psychotherapist, Person-Centred Counsellor, Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapist, Focusing Trainer and Life Coach. I am a member of British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists thereby work by their ethical framework of good practise.

Focusing, Experiential Psychotherapy and Person-Centred Counselling together form a gentle, effective and enpowering process to initiate positive lasting change. It will enable you to move forward with a fresh new perspective, creating a new way of being in yourself, enhancing your relationships and the wider environment.

Focusing is a learnt technique that enables you to connect with your own inner natural process. By pausing and sensing inwardly how the whole of the situation feels in the moment, in a fresh new way, a felt sense can form. Out of the felt sense new possibilities and solutions can emerge of what you need to move forward.

Life coaching is fundamentally about helping individuals create a better understanding how to set and achieve goals and ambitions. This is done by exploring the obstacles that stand in your way and the skills you can harness, build on or develop to overcome them; creating the most out of your life and living your full potential.

What to Expect
The Initial Session lasts for one hour. This is space for you to explore your experience and purpose for therapy/life coaching and to ensure that the therapy (or training) I offer is the right approach for you. There is no obligation to continue but should you wish to do so, we will then arrange to meet once a week for one hour at a time and day that is convenient to you.

As each individual's experience is unique the length of therapy varies from short-term, usually 6 weeks, to long-term, which is open-ended for as long as you feel you require it.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have gained extensive experience within my private practice working with adults, young people and children with a wide range of psychological and emotional issues and experiences. I have previous experience working in a GP's Surgery and Women's Refuge where I provided outreach counselling. I presently run a private practise and work with survivors of domestic abuse for Argyll and Bute Women’s Aid.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
