I am a Gestalt therapist (Gestalt is a word can be loosely translated as whole or complete) and I work with clients to help them build a sense of who they are as a complete person, exploring all the different parts that they like and may not like. In my work I take into account all that is happening in your world including your body, mind and emotions. In this we can explore what you are doing, how you are doing it, and how you can learn to accept and value yourself.

I have worked in the voluntary, student and private organisations and have extensive experience of working with a wide range of issues, including:

Bereavement and loss
Redundancy and worries about job security      
Infertility and fertility treatments 
Eating disorders and all aspects of your relationship with food
Depression feeling sad and lacking in energy and enthusiasm
Relationship issues, affairs and betrayals
separation and divorce

low self-esteem/self confidence

I feel that the relationship between the therapist and the client is the most important aspect of being in counselling. I seek to provide a relationship where you can feel heard, understood and accepted and, in the right circumstances, challenged.

I work in Richmond and Clapham close to the tube/rail stations.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I am a qualified and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and hold an accredited BACP Diploma in Counselling and Certificate in Humanistic Counselling Skills at the Gestalt Centre, London.

I am a qualified Eating Disorders therapist and trained with the highly acclaimed National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED).  

I am also a qualified Myers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) practitioner.
  
As a member of the BACP I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling, and subject to their Professional Conduct Procedure.
