Hello and welcome. Life can often throw us unwelcome surprises and sometimes we need help beyond our circle of friends and family, someone who is a good listener, with skill and experience in exploring issues and finding new and rewarding ways forward.
As an accredited and experienced counsellor trained to Masters level, I have seen many people from all different types of backgrounds find new hope and healing through a counselling process and relationship. I offer a space which is non-threatening and non-judgmental where a person can explore the issues that matter to them in a way which promotes their well being as a whole person; body, mind and spirit.
Certain counselling styles suit some people more than others, so I draw from a range of approaches to provide the right support for each person. As the number of sessions required will vary from person to person, I offer both short term which is about six sessions and more long term or open ended counselling if preferred but either way, my experience has shown the importance of reviewing regularly with each person as to how the counselling is going.
I also offer counselling for couples and work in an impartial way, allowing each partner to be heard. Whilst I am not invested in any particular outcome, I have often found that through counselling, couples have found new, caring and happier ways of being together.
I use a quiet room in my home based in the Hayes area of Bromley. There is plenty of easy parking and good public transport.
As a member of both the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the Association of Christian Counsellors, I abide by their ethical frameworks. I also have full professional indemnity insurance and am committed to ongoing personal and professional development.
In my counselling service, I aim to give you an opportunity to think and talk about what’s going on for you, to understand more about why you are feeling as you do, and to support you to find your own ways forward in the situations that you face whether this is in your current situation or from past memories and experiences.
Understandably, finding a counsellor can sometimes be a daunting experience so please be assured of an sympathetic response when you get in touch.
