Counsellor Profile
I am an experienced integrative counsellor with extra CBT training in Eating Disorders. I practice in Cardiff, Reading and Hampshire. I have worked within the NHS Employees Well Being Service and in the Counselling Service at Cardiff University.
I now work full time in private practice in Cardiff,Hampshire and Reading. I have experience of working within the NHS as a nurse and I have maintained my registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) and Registered Sick Children’s Nurse (RSCN).
This medical experience enables me to have a good understanding of health related problems in particular the impact of chronic illness on a person’s wellbeing and for their carers, such as Diabetes and Cystic Fibrosis.
I have considerable experience in helping people with eating difficulties and have additional Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) training in Eating Disorders.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Code of Ethics and complaints procedure.

One of the main aims of counselling is to enable people to gain a perspective about their problems.
Working with clients, I can help to identify the difficulties that maybe preventing clients from moving forward in their lives.
I also run psycho-educational workshops including Stress Management, Perfectionism, Procrastination.
