Counsellor Profile
As a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist I offer one to one therapy sessions with adults and young people who may be experiencing difficulties within their lives such as stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life changes, personal and family relationship issues.
As a psychodynamic counsellor I work with the issues that people bring with the belief that sometimes past experiences may influence present ones and these can be looked at using a reflective and interpretative process. I provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment in which myself and my client can work together to look at how best to deal with their problems. I offer both short and long term counselling with an initial assessment in which I can establish my client's needs for future therapeutic work. The importance of a trusting relationship between counsellor and client is paramount in my work and provides the base from which therapy begins.
I abide by the BACP Code of Ethics and hold professional indemnity insurance.
