I believe Counselling is a process facilitated by a caring and non-judgemental professional where you can create better coping mechanisms and work on your personal development. Counselling enables you to develop a clearer understanding of yourself and a better awareness of your emotional responses to personal, professional, physical or relationship difficulties.
My approach is person-centred and integrative. This enables the client to deal with their issues in ways that are best suited to them. This can also promote positive growth and self belief.
I also use mindfulness with my clients as this has shown to be effective in addressing depression and anxiety.
I work privately with a wide range of diverse issues and for the NHS in a fertility clinic. I have over 10 years experience. I am also a lecturer for the Open University.
