Counsellor Profile

I work with adults, children and young people, also with couples and families.

I work with people seeking help for depression, anxiety, stress, low self esteem, panic attacks, phobias, relationship difficulties, loss, bereavement, anger issues, school/work problems.

I adopt an integrative approach to my work which allows me to offer clients a choice of therapy ‘tools’.

Originally I was trained in person centred therapy and this approach constitute a base from which I offer elements of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution focussed, narrative therapy or emotional freedom technique (EFT), depending on the needs of the client and the nature of the issue.

I offer my clients confidentiality and a quiet and comfortable room in which we meet.

I am a counsellor/psychotherapist accredited by the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), and therefore I adhere to BACP's guidelines and code of ethics of good practice.

Over the past number of years I have been working as a counsellor/ psychotherapist in a number of settings; in NHS, voluntary sector, schools and in private practice, which allowed me to gain experience of working with people of different ages, backgrounds and with variety of issues.
