Counsellor Profile
I am a professionally qualified, UKCP registered counsellor/psychotherapist with a private practice in East London. I see clients with a wide range of issues and have experience of both short and long-tem work in a variety of settings.
I believe that counselling and psychotherapy can, in essence, be viewed as conversations which can help clients to make sense of their lives.
I work to create a confidential, safe and trusting environment in which to explore what has brought you to therapy. This process of exploration can help you to better understand how you relate to yourself and others, and to gain new perspectives on how you are currently living your life.
Therapy is a space in which you will be helped to clarify your beliefs, feelings and values, which can lead to a sense of new choices and possibilities. It can help you to feel that it is increasingly possible to shape your life in ways that are more in tune with what matters most to you.
I work to maintain an open and non-judgemental stance and tailor my approach to fit the needs of each client, recognising and valuing each individuals' unique experiences.
I help clients to build on their own resources in order to develop increased confidence and resilience in approaching the inevitable dilemmas of living.
Please contact me if you would like any further information or to arrange an initial no-obligation consultation.
