Profile

With almost thirty years experience, I offer a distinctive blend of knowledge, expertise and skills, with which to help people overcome difficulties and so find improved happiness and fulfillment. I believe counselling is a process which engages the whole person and clients are warmly welcomed into a setting which reflects excellence without ostentation.

My listening and communication skills are of the highest quality and I pay sensitive attention to clients and their issues. I am a founder director of The Road Centre for Counselling, Training and Wellbeing and over the years have become skilled in several counselling approaches, working in an integrative manner, adapting my response according to clients’ needs.

I work with individuals, couples, families and groups, dealing with whatever issues are presented. I also provide therapy for those involved in traumatic incidents, including road traffic and industrial accidents.

Some or my clients acknowledge a spiritual dimension to their lives and I am very happy to engage with this and help them explore and develop this important part of their make-up.

In addition to face-to-face work, I provide telephone and on-line counselling, including the use of Skype.

As well as being a counsellor, I am also a supervisor, overseeing the practice of several practitioners, working in a variety of settings.

Client feedback consistently shows a very high level of satisfaction with my practice and supervisees stay with me for a long time.

I engage in regular supervision, submitting my practice to robust scrutiny and set great store by on-going reading and professional and personal development. In so doing, I ensure that my practice is consistently informed by current learning and research.
