Counsellor Profile
I am a Humanistic, Integrative counsellor. I spent a number of years working in 'people' professions: initially as a librarian / careers information advisor, and latterly as an information professional and a lecturer, before embarking on a career in counselling. I believe this has given me a broad experience of people and their problems.
My approach is based on the relational model and I believe that the therapeutic relationship between a counsellor and client is paramount. My qualification is based on the integration of a number of psychotherapeutic paradigms, and I am therefore able to fit my way of working to an individual client, rather than the reverse.
I am bilingual (English / Danish).
