Profile

So what is counselling?  Maybe things may not feel right in your life at the moment and you can't understand why.
Or, an important relationship may feel in crisis.  You could be feeling stuck and unmotivated, or are you experiencing difficult feelings such as anxiety, anger, confusion, guilt, or a sense of loss?

If so, I can offer you a warm, supportive environment, allowing the space in which to explore your thoughts and feelings. My aim is to work in partnership with you to help you recognise and use your own resources more effectively. I draw on different tools during our sessions and use non-directive methods to help you explore your issues at your individual pace.
Talking confidentially with an experienced, understanding counsellor, who is accepting of you, can provide a really helpful space to reflect and work through your situation.  Its what you bring that counts, I don't have a magic wand, however together we can explore your issues and unravel feelings.

I have significant experience of working with people facing difficult circumstances. My aim is to encourage a calming and thoughtful perspective in our work. I provide a peaceful and discreet environment in which to discuss things that are concerning you.
My belief is we have the potential to make changes throughout our lives.  Our experience of early relationships will have shaped the person we have become. In a supportive relationship with an experienced counsellor we have the potential to change and become more satisfied with our life.

If you feel now is the time to try a new approach please do get in touch via email or phone to discuss your situation or make an appointment...

I provide both short and long term therapy

I practice independently in South Warnborough, in North Hampshire. My training background is based on Transactional Analysis and Humanistic counselling models, however I use a tailored approach drawing on different approaches, looking at what suits you.

As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists,(www.bacp.co.uk) I practice and abide by its code of ethics.

Before setting up my counselling practice, I ran mentoring schemes within the criminal justice system and have worked extensively with young people. I currently work as a trainer in Domestic Violence awareness, emotional literacy and self esteem building and work with physically and learning disabled students at a specialist college.

I hold a current enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check
