Counsellor Profile

Having more than 20 years experience of working as a counsellor and Life Coach, I continue to enjoy the rewards of helping people through the change they seek in themselves ,their relationships, lives and lifestyles.
My approach is Person Centred counselling, working in an intuitive and integrative way drawing on skills from other models to tailor your therapy to meet your specific needs.

I am able to work with whatever issues may be hindering you in life or causing you to be at a crossroads.

As your life Coach I help you explore where you are, where you wish to get to, how you are going to get there and what may be stopping you.

My special interests include loss and bereavement, relational issues and emotional and spiritual development.

I believe the body, mind and spirit is continually striving towards our well being and my intention is to help others find their own solutions and pathways to move forward.

My career within the caring professions spans over 25 years, as a nurse and counsellor, working for the NHS & privately with individuals and couples as well as providing staff support within large organisations. This has equipped me to work with people from all walks and phases of life with a variety of issues.
I hold:
-Diploma in Counselling and the management of Change(1991)
-Cert. in Brief Counselling
-Adv. cert. Mentoring & Supervisio(1994)
-Cert. Critical Incident Management & Trauma Debriefing(2000)
-Adv. Cert Person Centred ART Therapy(2003)

Fees

My fees are £45.00 per hour with a number of limited places for reduced fee clients.

Counselling is often short-term focusing on a specific problem.
Long-term in-depth counselling takes a more detailed look at the roots of the present difficulties.
At our initial meeting , we shall decide which would be appropriate for you.

Extra Information

Boston Spa lies between the A1M1 and the A64, at Tadcaster, providing rapid access from all areas of Yorkshire and beyond.
Regular buses from Leeds and Harrogate stop outside my premises.
There is good disability access available and a parking area provided.
