Counsellor Profile

I trained for my Diploma at the person-centred counselling services at Old Trafford,Manchester and qualified in 2003.My counselling approach is person-centred and as a Counsellor and group facilitator my aim is to offer you a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space, where you can talk through any difficulties you may be experiencing in a way that is best for you. My role as a counsellor would be my dedication to going with your direction, at your pace and offer you my understanding,insights and experiences.

My main experience lies from working with clients who identify with having a mild to severe and enduring mental health problem at Stockport Mind. This has been either in a group setting,individually or on the telephone.
I have also provided private,paid and unpaid counselling to clients I have seen at my own home and at the Lesbian and gay foundation in Manchester, to clients who identify as being gay,lesbian,transsexual or bisexual and have experience with working with the same client group on the helpline.

  • Fees

    Individual counselling: Is normally £30 an hour.
    Group work: Is normally £35 an hour.
    Consultation: Is normally £15 for 45 minutes.
    Individual financial difficulties can be discussed and negotiated.

    Extra Information

    The group work that I offer can be Taylor made to suit your needs and can be provided to relevant charities,organisations,G.P. surgeries etc.
    For instance at present and in the past I have facilitated support groups for people who have obsessive compulsive disorder, Women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse, a self harm group and a relaxation group.All of the above I provided at Stockport Mind.
    I am available to see clients for Individual Counselling in my own home in Todmorden.
