Counsellor ProfileI am an Integrative Counsellor - having trained in different traditional approaches to counselling. I am also qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which is a great, sensible and practical method of counselling - based on collaboration between the client and counsellor. For 12 years I lived in a Buddhist community I'm finding that I can use some of what I learnt there within my counselling practice. We can all find a peaceful core that is part of us and not tied up in our problems and difficulties - this can transform the way we see our lives and ourselves.
At the heart of counselling is the relationship between client and counsellor - I have experienced the non-judging warmth and support a counsellor can provide myself as a client and hope to do the same for others.
