Counsellor Profile

I am a fully qualified and insured Person centred Counsellor. I gained my Diploma in Counselling in 2004. Although working from a person centred viewpoint, I like to work in an integrative way,tailoring the therapy to adjust to the needs of the individual client.

As discussed I hold the Diploma in Counselling. I have undertaken a number of counselling placements and voluntary counselling in mental health day centres, and during thistime have added to my knowledge of mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress syndrome, phobias, panic attacks obsessive compulsive disorder and addictions. I have attended workshops relating to mental health issues,alcohol and drug awareness and disability awareness. I have had basic training in neuro linguist programming and I am a qualified and insured level 2 Reiki therapist, which I believe works very well following counselling therapy On a more personal note, I have had experience of close relatives with mental health problems.One member of my family suffers bi-polar depression and and I have been a carer for another member who has suffered severe and debilitating obsessive compulsive disorder from an early age. So I can really empathize with people experiencing any problems of this type!!

Fees

My fees are 25 pounds per hour for Counselling and 25 pounds for Reiki and I provide discounts to people in receipt of benefits also oaps and students on production of suitable evidence. I also provide telephone counselling and counselling by email if preferred.

I am very flexible and available evenings and weekends at a time to suit you.
