Hello,

As a therapist I believe that the quality of my relationship with you is very important. I work holistically within an Integrative model, which means that I am open to working with the whole of you and all parts of you that go to make up that whole.

I can offer short term counselling for a range of problems and I also specialise in longer term psychotherapy. Perhaps you feel that your problems have been around for a long time (it may be a sense of emptiness, difficulties in forming or maintaining relationships, issues from the past or depression or anxiety which seem to keep coming back). Maybe you have tried short term counselling or self help and nothing seems to work or to work for long enough? Then longer term relational psychotherapy might help you.

Together, confidentially and in a safe space, we can explore how you experience your world, developing awareness, understanding and choices. I aim to support and challenge you in discovering more about your self, understanding and integrating confusing or conflicting parts of your self, perhaps helping you move towards greater autonomy, awareness, spontaneity and a deeper intimacy with others if that is what you are seeking.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I have a Certificate in Person Centred Counselling, a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling (Gestalt/Integrative), a Post Graduate Diploma in CBT and am working towards a Masters degree in Integrative Psychotherapy. I am a member of the BACP and abide by their code of ethics.  I have a background in teaching, social work (mental health) and administrative management. I have also worked as a counsellor in a GP Practice and am currently working as a CBT practitioner in the NHS. I am committed to my continuing professional and personal development.

I have studied psychology, mental health, counselling, psychotherapy and other related areas for over 30 years as well as experiencing therapy and I regularly work with other experienced psychotherapists to continually develop my skills and honour my passion for working with people therapeutically.

Fees

I currently work in Rowley Regis near the train station (not far from Junction 2 of the M5).
I offer evening and weekend appointments depending on availability.

Sessions are for 50 minutes on a weekly basis. I charge £35 per session. I also offer some concessionary places.

I offer personal counselling for students who are training on Diploma and Degree Counselling/Psychotherapy courses. For this I charge £25 per session.
