Offering professional and effective counselling, cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT), psychotherapy, relationships counselling, and coaching in central Glasgow and Edinburgh, my colleagues and I at the First Psychology Centre, Glasgow and the Edinburgh Psychology Centre (www.edinburghtherapy.co.uk) , provide a service for those wishing to access practical, friendly and experienced support. As Centre Director, I am a Chartered Counselling and Health Psychologist and a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I work with highly experienced Psychologists, Counsellor/Psychotherapists, CBT therapists and Coaches. We are able to meet a range of client needs and wishes, knowing no two people are ever the same and thus finding what is right for each individual is of paramount importance. We are happy to work with all adults, young people, couples, families and groups. We mainly work with those who self-refer to our service, although we also accept referrals from GP's and other health professionals. Although many clients fund themselves, for those with health insurance our practitioners are registered with all main health insurance companies including AXA, BUPA, CIGNA and Norwich Union.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I have a M.Sc and PhD In Psychology and a Doctoral-level Diploma in Counselling Psychology awarded by the British Psychological Society. I also have a Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling, an Advanced Certificate in CBT, and a range of qualifications in coaching, mediation and group therapy. I have also undertaken training in EMDR and interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). I have worked in a range of settings including NHS psychology departments, GP' surgeries, university counselling services and the voluntary sector. I have worked in independent practice for 8 years.
As well as working for the First Psychology Centre, Glasgow and The Edinburgh Psychology Centre, I am also Course Director (GCU) of the D.Psych in Counselling Psychology offered by Glasgow Caledonian and Strathclyde universities, a General Member of the Mental Health Tribunal Scotland, and both a Disciplinary Panel Member and Visitor for the Health Professions Council.

Fees

Further Information
We are very experienced in working with a whole range of clients, including men and those new to counselling or therapy. Collectively in the Edinburgh Psychology Centre and First Psychology Centre, Glasgow we aim to offer a high quality counselling, CBT and psychotherapy service with appointments during the day and in the evenings.
