Counsellor Profile

I am a professionally qualified and experienced counsellor based in St Albans and I work with adults on either a long-term or short-term basis according to their needs.

My approach is psychodynamic which entails looking at how the difficulties you are currently experiencing may connect with the past. Often we unconsciously repeat patterns from the past in our present-day relationships with others, and also in the way we feel about ourselves.

I have an M.A. in Psychoanalytic Studies from the University of Roehampton. I completed my BACP accredited professional training with an Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling at WPF Counselling and Psychotherapy in London, which is recognised as one of the leading counselling and psychotherapy organisations in the UK. My clinical experience post qualification has been gained from working within the WPF Counselling Service and in private practice.

I am a member of WPF’s graduate organisation, The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC). Professional Members of FPC work to the highest standards of practice. The Foundation has a strict code of ethics and a complaints procedure, ensuring the highest standards of confidentiality and professional practice.

I am also a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which is one of the largest professional bodies for counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK.
