Beverley Cooke BA (Hons) Counselling MBACP
As a counsellor I work with adults and young people. I believe that every person is a unique individual, and has the potential to fully realise their inner qualities.
I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to explore the issues affecting you and to support you in discovering your inner resources and the best way forward for you.
I have been a Counsellor for more than ten years and work in a professional, friendly environment, offering both long and short term counselling. I have experience of working with people from all walks of life with a wide range of issues and problems such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship issues, self harm and stress. I am happy to offer counselling services to LGBT clients.
As a member of BACP I abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy which can be found at www.bacp.co.uk/ethical_framework.
Research shows that it is the quality of the relationship between client and counsellor that effects the most client change. I am therefore happy to meet with you free of charge for a chat before you decide if you would like to start counselling. Please feel free to ring for a no obligation initial chat or to arrange an initial meeting.
I am based in the town centre, a short walk from Herne Bay station and local bus routes. Parking is available locally.
The nature of my work means that I am often unable to answer my phone; please leave me a brief message with a number I can reach you on and I will return your call as soon as I can. Alternatively you can email me and I will contact you as soon as I can, usually within 24 hours.
