Profile

I am an experienced counsellor with 25 years in NHS, private sector and voluntary work. My specialist trainings include: working with the dying and the bereaved; workplace stress; relationships and sexuality : LGBTI affirmative. I offer counselling to individuals, and couple counselling. I currently work as a clinical supervisor in hospitals and hospices, and offer counselling supervision to qualified and trainee counsellors. I am Chair of the Hitchin Counselling Service and involve myself in voluntary and community work locally and abroad.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

BACP Accredited Counsellor since1988; BACP Accredited Supervisor since1999.
BA Applied Social Studies, 1975; Certificate of Qualification in Social Work, 1975. Diploma in Counselling 1986; Registered Adoption Counsellor 2008; Certificate in Sexual Minority Therapy 2009.
I have been employed in 5 GP surgeries, a hospice and a university counselling service.
