Counsellor Profile

I am an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist working in the centre of Luton. Previously I qualified as a nurse and Health Visitor, so I have much experience working with families and individuals in difficulty or distress.
I have completed two rigorous professional trainings in counselling and psychotherapy which also required me to have personal therapy - so I have experience from both sides.
I work as a psychodynamic counsellor/therapist, which means working to understand how painful situations in the present may have roots in the past. This understanding allows the possibility of greater freedom of thought and action, when old patterns begin to change.
Counselling or therapy can be short term or open ended, and I provide a safe space where your thoughts and feelings can be explored without fear of judgement. I am bound by FPC, BACP and BAC codes of ethics, and have regular supervision, to ensure that you experience the highest standard of professional practice.
