Counsellor Profile
As a qualified Psychodynamic counsellor, I am able to offer clients short and long-term help with various problems and have experience of diverse issues, ranging from sexual differculties to alcohol addiction or misuse. I work with both men and women.
My training and experience as a counsellor and my personal experience of therapy have taught me to appreciate the uniqueness of each counselling relationship and the value of counsellor and client working together. I offer a non-judgemental, safe space in which clients can discuss problems and have the time to reflect on and find answers to questions which are troubling them. Sometimes differculties arise from current, short-term situations; sometimes they are more deep-seated and form a pattern which affects us in our everyday lives. In either case, I help clients to move towards positive development in change, looking beneath the surface and drawing meaning from their past experiences and behaviour.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere fully in their ethical guidelines. All clients have complete confidentiality. I work from private rooms in High Barnet, easily accesssible by car with excellent links to all forms of public transport.
