I have many years counselling experience. If you are struggling to cope with every day life or if you just have a sense that life could be more fulfilling, it may be worth taking time to reflect on your situation. Our initial session is an opportunity for you to do that and to see if you feel comfortable with me. Together we will think about whether counselling could be of benefit to you.
Change and unforeseen events can place our closest relationships under strain and it can be very helpful to devote time and attention to thinking about these things. Counselling focuses on you and your circumstances and helps you to consider what, if any, changes you may need to make.
Over the years I have worked with people on a range of issues. Most recently these have included infertility and childbirth and their impact on the couple relationship, divorce and separation, infidelity, anxiety about the future, issues to do with ageing and health, changes in job status, creative blocks, change in family relationships, the stresses of caring for relatives, bereavement, workplace stress, sexual problems and adoption.
I offer one to one counselling and couples counselling to heterosexual and same sex couples.
I have been counselling for 26 years and am a Senior Registered Practitioner with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have been accredited by the BACP since 1993.
I specialise in individual counselling and couples counselling in South East London (SE22). I also have particular expertise in adoption counselling and have worked with birth parents, adoptive parents and adopted adults.
My South East London (SE22) counselling practice is located in a quiet street in East Dulwich, close to Forest Hill, Dulwich Village, Peckham and Herne Hill. It is served by good transport links to Waterloo, London Bridge and central London.
