Counsellor ProfileI work in a private practice, based in Totnes, which I share with my husband Nigel Parratt.(www.croftcounselling.bacp.co.uk) We are both accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and have a wide range of experience of working with individuals and couples.
Central to our way of working is the person centred approach developed by Carl Rogers. This approach is based on a deep trust of each individual's potential and capacity for growth and development. We believe that if a client feels that their counsellor really does understand and accept their situation and feelings then positive changes become possible. We aim to offer a safe, confidential space where clients will not feel judged and will be able to trust that their counsellor is relating to them in an open and genuine way.
As well as counselling we also offer supervision and mentoring. Our website: www.croftcounselling.co.uk contains more information about us and the way we work.
