Hi I'm Sam. I believe that you are the expert in your own experience and I am here to support you on your journey by listening, empathising and accepting what is going on for you.

I undertake long and short-term face-to-face work and aim help you to deal with anything that causes distress or difficulty.

I have experience of working with a wide range of difficulties including anger management, post traumatic stress disorder (ptsd), bereavement and mental health diagnosis in a variety of different settings.

I consider myself to be a sincere, warm individual, sensitive to the needs of any given situation or individual.

I have just completed advanced training with The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, in an MA in Humanistic Person centred Psychotherapy.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and as such I adhere to their framework for ethical practice.

I have extensive experience in the emergency services, in domestic abuse, hate crime, defusing and debriefing incidents. Counselling experience includes work within the NHS, University Counselling Services, Bereavement Services, Employee Counselling Services, Working with survivors of rape and sexual abuse and Women’s Centres.
