Sometimes we all may lose direction, focus or become overwhelmed by our lives and relationships. I am a senior accredited counsellor and have been practicing for more than 15 years. I can offer you long term or short term counselling in a warm, safe, professional, nonjudgmental and confidential environment.
You may feel nervous about counselling, wondering if it can really help you? I would always recommend that you come for an initial session and we can talk through all your concerns and then decide if counselling would be the right thing for you.
My experience with clients is across the board from adolescence to older people and includes a large amount of diversity and cultural issues.
I offer relationship counselling either individually or as a couple. If your relationship is beginning to struggle don't leave it until it is at crisis point, counselling individually or as a couple can really help get things back on track.
My work with clients incorporates many issues and I frequently help people with depression, self esteem building, generalised anxiety, stress, work related issues, eating disorders, abuse, anger management, bereavement, identity issues and other life changes. Sometimes it's hard to describe what you may feel is wrong, come and explore your feelings and we can look to make sense and improve your life.
I have a private practice where I see individuals and couple clients in a quiet, tranquil private room. I also see clients from employment assistance programmes for short term therapy.
Additionally, my experience includes working for three years at a local NHS hospital as an Honorary psychotherapist and I was also employed as a university student counsellor at The Royal Holloway College in Egham for ten years. I currently work as a counsellor in a state secondary school for 11 to 18 year old two days per week.
My counselling approach is humanistic however I also practice in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I am sincere, caring and non judgmental, I will help you to feel safe enough to explore your issues in a comfortable and confidential setting.
