Counsellor Profile

I am an accredited Member of The British Assoc of Counselling and Psychotherapy, working within their Code of Ethics. and am qualified as a Supervisor of Counsellors. I have over twelve years experience as a Therapist and practice in the Grantham, Mansfield, Newark and Lincon areas. As a Tutor at a local college I teach a counselling Diploma course. In addition I manage a charity, CASY, which provides counselling for young people in North Nottinghamshire.

I offer brief and long term counselling for individuals, couples and young people from the age of eleven. I also offer individual and group supervision to qualified and student counsellors, supervision for Macmillan Nurses, Hospice staff and other service providers.

I am a qualified practitioner in Thought Field Therapy working with trauma, panic attacks and anxiety.

As an integrative counsellor I provide a service which is unique to each individual client. I provide a safe, confidential environment where clients can explore their problems and issues and hope to help them find some peace and resolution in their lives.

I am able to offer clients help with post traumatic stress and fears/phobias and relationship difficulties.
I have experience of working with young people in foster care and within schools and youth centres, students within a university, hospital/hospice staff, residents in Women's Aid and homeless accommodation and people attending a drug, alcohol and tenancy support centre.

Individual counselling £30 per session
Couples counselling £40 per session

Counselling Supervision £30 per hour with a minimum of 1.5 hours per month

Reduced rates for students and those on a low income

Extra Information

I have a practice in Lincoln and also practice from my home which is near both Grantham and Newark. In addition I have access to a counselling room in Mansfield.
