Counsellor ProfileCounselling offers the opportunity to work through issues and difficulties, with the aim of working towards living a more satisfactory and resourceful life - the counsellor at all times repecting the aims and objectives of the individual. Most of us at some time in our life experience times of stress, emotional or relationship difficulties, depression, bereavement, or a need to look at our own personal growth or other issues that affect our lives.
An opportunity to share our thoughts and feelings with another person in a uniquely 'private' environment, away from the interruptions of everyday life, can enable change to occur.
I work from my home in Rotherfield, working with individuals, couples and children. The room I use is quiet, private, warm and comfortable. It is easy to park a car on the premises and there is a separate entrance to ensure privacy. For all counselling work, confidentiality is always of the utmost importance and this will be observed from the enquiry stage and throughout the sessions. This will be discussed with you before counselling begins.
I am trained as a Person-Centred Counsellor and this is my core model but I will use aspects of CBT or TA if I think that this would benefit the individual client.
