Profile

In practice for 24 years, I have worked with various agencies, and I now see clients privately. I have studied both in Ireland and England. I am a member of BACP and share in their codes of practice. I am also a member of FDAP ( Federation of drug and alcohol counsellors), and am one of the few certified Reality Therapists in the country. I work with the client in the way that suits their requirements, and always try to empathise and help them move forward in their lives. It is so important to achieve some contentment in this life, and most of us have some issue that can stand in the way of this. I have been trained in humanistic, person centred, psychodynamic and CBT, theories, and in my working life have come accross most of the distress that stops individuals achieving some peace. I believe the well being of the client is the most important part of the process, and always focus on building a trusting relationship, where a client can feel safe, secure in the knowledge that I will not judge them. I also offer supervision to other counsellors and have done so for many years.

Fees

£35-£40

Concessions may be available to students, studying counselling, or needing supervision to fill their hours required.

Concessions may also be available to the unemployed, if this can be verified.

I see clients from all sourrounding areas, Tamworth, Lichfield and Burton on Trent, Sutton Coldfield, Hoar Cross, Newborough, Derby, Littleover, Mickleover, Handsacre, Armitage, Rugeley, King's bromley etc.
Clients are willing to travel from many locations, and I respect the efforts that they make to deal with their problems. I also have great respect for the courage it takes to decide to deal with life's difficulties.
There is always hope, and whatever the problem, we are all capable of finding solutions. Hopefully I can facilitate this process.
