Profile

As an experienced BACP Accredited counsellor, I offer help to individuals and couples with issues such as relationships, bereavement, abuse, anxiety and depression. I am flexible about working short or long term, according to mutually agreed client need.

My background is in the Humanistic tradition and I work in a person-centred way, believing the client to be the expert on his or her own life and experience. I offer to actively listen and support the client in finding a way forward that feels right at this particular moment. I have extensive experience of working with loss, bereavement and life transitions and a particular interest in difference and the individual search for creative living.

I also work with couples who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship and need a safe space where they will have the opportunity to speak and be heard in a non-threatening, open and respectful environment.

I have been seeing clients in several counselling agencies in Edinburgh since 1999 and set up my own practice in 2004.
