Hi and welcome to my profile page.
Maybe you have read through several already and perhaps still wondering how to choose a counsellor.
Reading through personal statements like this one is very important ~ I believe one of the key aspects of successful counselling is finding the right counsellor; it is essential to have a trusting therapeutic relationship. It may take a few sessions to reach this stage.
Confidentiality is another very important aspect of counselling and many clients come to private counselling as they don’t want any record on their official medical notes.
Our sessions will be confidential in most circumstances and we could discuss this point further during the fist session.
I am a fully qualified, experienced and B.A.C.P accredited integrative counsellor. This means that I have studied counselling in depth and belong to a recognised professional body.
I am experienced in helping clients deal with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety attacks, anger management, bereavement and low self-confidence.
I have worked with some clients on a long-term basis (over 2 years) and some others on a much shorter basis (4/6 sessions).
The amount of work we do together is very much your choice.
I have a very open and honest style of working and offer an empathic and non-judgemental approach. I believe it is important to allow the client to explore whatever issue they wish at the sessions and I acknowledge that not all clients want to uncover past traumas.
I have a practice in Bromley and another in West Malling, Kent.
My fees are £45 per session and I hope to be able to offer an initial appointment within 7 days of your first contact.

I have full professional indemnity insurance.
I undergo regular professional supervision which gives me the opportunity to reflect on my practice and find new ways of approaching issues with my clients.
