About me

Are you struggling with your feelings? Are you becoming noticeably more anxious or low? You don't need to be alone with these feelings.

I can provide a FaceTime, Skype, Zoom or WhatsApp video session. I have made my practice as Covid19 safe as possible if you’d prefer a face to face session in my practice. I’m also offering ‘walk and talk’ sessions on Ashdown Forest, weather permitting.
If you would like to have an initial 30 minute free chat on the phone beforehand, don't hesitate to call me on 07876886009

I have worked with panic attacks, anxiety and depression as a counsellor for over 18 years and also had personal experience of witnessing close family members suffer from panic attacks and prolonged anxiety.

I specialise in helping those suffering from anxiety and panic attacks. My treatment method provides both a short and long-term solution. It helps to address all aspects of Panic Attacks, whether it be physical, emotional or chemical.

If you are unsure that you are suffering from anxiety or panic attacks, you call call me to discuss on 07876886009.

In my private practice, the majority of clients are referred by medical practitioners and GPs. I have worked at a clinic in London and for the charity CRUSE for seven years.

I have previously featured in ELLE magazine and the Guardian newspaper and The Metro Newspaper (London).

When choosing a counsellor it's more important that you find someone you feel totally comfortable with, rather than the particular theories that they use.

I use many different counselling theories. This enables me to work flexibly and creatively to meet the individual needs of my clients as I don't believe that a 'one size fits all'. This can all be discussed in our first session which is free of charge for individuals.

In my private practice on Ashdown Forest, I work with both individuals, couples and older children from 11 to 18 years. I work closely with GP's at a local surgery who regularly refer clients to me. Working as a couples counsellor and also with teenagers are areas of counselling that I'm particularly passionate about.

I offer a caring, empathic and non-judgemental environment in which we can discuss any issue you may wish to bring. Together we can look at the choices available to you.
The counselling models that I work with include; Person Centred, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

I have worked as a couple counsellor for over 10 years. I also enjoy working with troubled young people and have provided counselling for local schools.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have more than than 20 years of counselling experience working in private practice, at a GP surgery and at a clinic in the Harley Street area of London (The Hale Clinic). I am experienced working online using Teams, FaceTime, Skype and WhatsApp Video.

I am a registered and fully insured member of the BACP.

Qualifications and Experience;

BACP Accredited Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Couples Training Certificate
CBT Training Certificate

Certificate in Bereavenment Counselling - Cruse Bereavenment Care

Certificate in Interpersonal Mediation

Experience working with children, especially adolesents and teenagers.
I am also a qualified mediator, working with divorce mediation for couples, office/work desputes, neighborhood disputes and family disputes.

I have broad experience of working with many different life issues but would say that my specialist areas are; depression, anxiety and panic attacks, anger issues, eating disorders, teenagers and couple counselling. I worked for the charity Cruse for six years as a bereavement counsellor. I work with a local family law firm as a divorce mediator.

I have researched Anxiety and Panic Attacks for the past five years and have developed a treatment method with a colleague who is a Dr of Chiropractic and nutritional therapist. Together, we look at all aspects of panic attacks including the physical symptoms, chemical effects and emotional reactions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
