Counsellor Profile

Change the way you think, and live the life you want!

I am a Life and Health Sciences Graduate and a qualified practitioner who adheres to the ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy as laid down by the IACP.

I have also studied Social Behaviour, Behaviourism and Social Issues, Psychoanalysis and Society, Abnormal, Cognitive and Developmental Psychology.

Many individuals find counselling and psychotherapy effective for alleviating depression, anxiety and distress, for recovering from painful or traumatic experiences and losses, and for achieving personal development and change.

I will work with you in a positive way helping you move forward in your life and achieve the changes you may want to make.

Counselling often focuses on specific issues or problems while Psychotherapy involves more in-depth work over a longer period of time.

The person-centred approach to counselling is used which is rooted in humanistic philosophy and ensures a confidential, trusting, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship that has an optismistic view of the individual and a belief that each person has the capacity to move in the direction of more fulfilling and satisfying ways of being and living their lives. It is based on each individual finding their own answers and direction and this is achieved when the client is able to understand their own limitations and potential.
