Hello, my name is Yvonne Wildi and I am a counsellor/psychotherapist working in the Tonbridge area. The relationship which forms between counsellor and client is of primary importance: having embarked upon a course of sessions, the client's journey can be one of discovery and positive change, helping them to accept themselves and the way they relate to others/situations. However, it can also have its challenging moments which is why I am committed to providing, to the best of my ability, counselling/psychotherapy within a safe, accepting and confidential space. Here, true feelings or worries can be explored without judgement or disapproval.
I am primarily a person-centred counsellor but sometimes I work more integratively with other humanistic approaches depending on the client and the issues involved. I work on a one to one basis for either an agreed length of time or for longer term therapy.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
MA Psychotherapeutic Counselling - University of Brighton
Post Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling - University of Brighton
BSc (Hons) Psychology
I currently work in private practice and have also spent several years working as a counsellor in secondary schools and within the NHS. My counselling rooms are quiet and comfortable with easy parking nearby.
I have received Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and addictions training through the NHS and have also had experience working for an addictions clinic and Refuge, the domestic violence charity.
Before re-training as a counsellor I worked in the hotel and exhibition industries and then took some time out to raise my children

Fees
Counselling - £45.00 per session, £35.00 for teenagers, £30.00 trainee counsellors. Discounted rates are also available for students or those on low-incomes.
