Counsellor Profile

I am trained in person centred counselling and am described by my friends as a warm and caring person and have years of personal and professional experience which I believe helps me in working with a variety of clients. I am a Christian, have my own family and work for two charities, one as a volunteer.

My private counselling service is based at the Cenacle Treatment Centre which is in Stockport. (Please click on the above link if you wish to view my details.)

I believe that counselling can be helpful in clearing thoughts and feelings and may lead to an access of personal strengths. This possible increase in awareness could help you to recognise that you have choices in your life.

I also offer weekly telephone counselling sessions. This could be useful if you are short of time, or are finding it difficult to travel, you can access the service from the comfort of your own home. Certificate in Counselling Concepts.
Certificate in Counselling Issues (Eating Disorders, Parent and Child Relationships, Bereavement.)
Certificate in Counselling Skills.
Level 4 Diploma in the Theory and Practice of Counselling.
I am a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
My practice is supervised.

As death is a part of life I have an interest in helping those who have suffered bereavement, grief and loss with either short or longer term work, if required.

Fees

The first session will be an opportunity to decide if counselling is for you, and aims for further counselling, if required.

The cost for the first session will be £15.

After the initial session my fees are currently £25 per session for new clients, payable by cash or cheque at the end of each session.
