Eleanor Patrick MBACP (Accred) and Registered
I specialise in offering therapy to young people aged 4-18.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am on the new BACP Register.
I have spent years working with children and young people, as teacher, parent, youth leader and now counsellor and coach. I believe in empowering young people to become all that they can be.
For this reason, I spend some of each week offering play therapy and counselling or coaching to children and young people, both in school and in my private practice. I liaise with the parent/carer where possible to ensure the best outcome for the young person. And I work with the family together when this is the best way forward.
I offer flexible appointments – in the evenings, at weekends, and also during school days with the permission of a teacher. We can always vary which lesson is missed.

- Low self-esteem
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Relationship issues
Other areas of counselling I deal with
All the above areas - and others - that concern children and adolescents, including bullying, exam stress, behaviour issues, and all kinds of loss and disuption resulting from families who separate, join, move house or have some crisis. If you think I can help your child or young person, please ring for a chat. I work with the parents too to bring about required changes - I believe parents are doing the best they can in difficult circumstances and my successes in supporting them speak for themselves.
This fee reflects my belief that therapeutic help should be made available to all children and young people who need it.
For adult fees, please see my other website as above.
With young people, I work integratively, responding to need, in a child-friendly way which may involve play therapy, talking therapy or a mixture of both, according to the young person's choice. Some teenagers respond better to coaching and some counselling. Often it is a mixture of both to get them where they wish to go, emotionally and relationally.
