I specialise in offering therapy to young people aged 4-16.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have spent years working with children and young people, as teacher, parent, youth leader and now counsellor. I believe in empowering young people to become all that they can be.
For this reason, I spend some of each week offering play therapy and counselling to children and young people in school, and also in my private practice. I liaise with the parent/carer where possible to ensure the best outcome for the young person.

UPDATE Nov 2009: I am now also offering EFT to a small number of adult clients as it is too good a tool to ignore! EFT is a gentle and excellent way of solving past traumas, dealing with current problems and for self-development, including what might normally come under "coaching". Further Information
With young people, I work integratively, responding to need, in a child-friendly way – which may involve play therapy, talking therapy or a mixture of both, according to the young person's choice.
With adults, my main model is EFT which involves talk to discover issues, and tapping to clear them – humour and metaphor are integral where appropriate, and I follow the client's lead as to topics. The sessions are enjoyable and effective!
