Counsellor Profile

I offer individual counselling face to face and online. New Leaf operates a private clinic based in Wellington and Taunton in Somerset.

I am a qualified counsellor with a wide experience of helping people resolve difficulties.

I have delivered a counselling service since 1992. I aim to provide a confidential and modern approach to counselling.

Online therapy is available at New Leaf. Online therapy is for many, the opportunity to sit in the comfort of one's own home or office and carefully think out and write what you wish to say, for some it allows you be more open, thorough, and precise.

If your someone who finds it hard to remember what people say online counselling / therapy can allows you to read over past sessions without having to take up valuable time in future sessions.

Online counselling is also less expensive than face to face work and can save you money and time as you are not having to travel to sessions.

Becky Wright also offers supervision currently to both counsellors and a range of other professionals. She is able to offer a student rate for counsellor trainees.

Training, Qualifications & Experience (more info)

I have a Diploma in Counselling and hold a Master of Science Degree in Counselling Research awarded by the University of Bristol.

Within working in the prison service I was involved in teaching assertiveness, drug, alcohol and stress management courses to inmates. I also delivered a Post Traumatic Stress Counselling to Somerset Probation Service Offenders.

I am an accredited member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Ethical Guidelines for Researching Counselling and Psychotherapy (where practitioners undertake research) and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure for the time being in force.

Extra Information

Our counselling centre is centrally based in Wellington Somerset. We are based on the first floor of 35A Fore Street Wellington. Our rooms are modern and offer a comfortable environment for counselling to take place.
