Counsellor ProfileA psychiatrist I trained the other week agrees with me, that in our experience some counselling helps people feel better, without helping them GET better - my work with you emphasises GETTING BETTER for lasting as well as short-/medium-term results. And the remarkable feedback I get from the innovative integrative approach I use bears this out.
Lots I could tell you about me and my experience in helping people create change but call today for a conversation on how we could work together on enabling the positive changes you want.
"That one conversation we had made such a difference!" (A.S. in Lincoln).
“Nigel made an incredible impression on our program... He taught classes with passion, saw tremendous results with clients (including me!), and brought many wonderful new ideas to us. Nigel, we want you back!” Craig Parry (Lead Counsellor), Adult Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre, New York City (2006 and 2007) both quoted with permission.

Fees- What's it worth to create change and solve the problem you're unable to solve?
- What will it cost you if you don't change?
- How frustrated will you feel if you get help where you just talk about and around the issues over weeks and weeks but nothing changes? Your 'average' counsellor gets you to attend an initial interview, and then sets up a series of 6-10 counselling sessions across 6-10 weeks just for starters, in which you can talk, talk, talk... (costing you AT LEAST £30 a session, so that's at least £200-to-£300+ time spent, and travel etc with potentially more sessions after that... and maybe some change but only if you get lucky, eventually!)
More often "you get what you pay for", because the work I will do typically takes effect more rapidly and with greater effect than more 'traditional' forms of counselling (and I can tell you why). So I offer sessions based on value, where we have one extended initial session focussing on results and then see what work remains to be done after that.
For many of the clients I've seen so far that first session has been enough, and either way the number of sessions is always alot lower, so that means high value in much shorter times for results now and hence the slightly different rate of £60 an hour (£75 for an hour and a half).
Telephone or online (including webcam) sessions available - face to face is much preferred though. Travel costs, if I come to you, will be charged at reasonable / Inland Revenue rates.
Extra InformationCall someone different, who's emphasis is on more than 'grand insights' and your merely feeling better, where the central issue is your GETTING BETTER and STAYING BETTER. And where you get to enjoy the process of learning to do so for yourself, so YOU learn new ways to create the positive changes you deserve in your life - to get less of what you dislike and to enjoy more of what you want in your life and relationships.
I work across the Midlands and also in Milton Keynes.
