Counsellor Profile

I specialise in helping clients to lift depression and anxiety, improve their confidence and to gain more from life. Other services available include writing therapy individually or in a group, relaxation sessions and a free monthly writing group for counsellors and therapists. Also telephone counselling.

Training, Qualifications & Experience (more info)

I have a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am a qualified teacher. I am an accredited member of The Counselling Society and abide by their ethical code. I have been working on a national telephone helpline as a volunteer for five years helping parents with the ups and downs of family life and I have also counselled in an agency specialising in alcohol addiction.

Fees

Face to face counselling £30 per hour.
Telephone counselling - £30 daytime, £40 after 7pm. Monthly writing therapy group, £10 per evening or free for current clients. Free monthly writing for personal development group for counsellors and therapists.

Extra Information

I am registered with the Counselling Charity (Counselling Ltd) and abide by their code of ethics. I regularly attend workshops and courses to keep up with the latest developments in counselling and therapy. I have a passion for creative writing, particularly poetry and work with individuals and groups to promote well-being through reading and writing. I have regular supervision with an accredited BACP member.
