About me

Hello! I am an Integrative psychotherapist who works with individuals, and I also offer supervision for individuals, groups and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists.

My practice is based in Gotham and West Bridgford. Both locations are easily reached by car or bus.

I have worked as a psychotherapist in private practice for the last 17 years.   During this time I have worked within the N.H.S.  providing therapy within the diabetic unit at Nottingham City Hospital.  I have also worked at Place 2 Be providing play therapy for children between the ages of 4-11, and have supported project workers and counsellors working within The Children's Society in Birmingham and Nottingham.

I am experienced in E.A.P work (employment assisted programs) which helps clients explore general anxiety which they may be experiencing within the work place, or within their home life but which then impacts on work.

I currently teach on the introductory counselling courses at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham, and I also have  an interest in neurodiversity in particular ADHD and ASD.

Prior to practicing as a psychotherapist I worked in the public sector for 10 years where I gained experience of working with child abuse and domestic violence.

I have completed a four year Masters degree in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, Nottingham and I am U.K.C.P. accredited.  I am in fortnightly supervision with a U.K.C.P. registered supervisor also.

I consider myself a warm, calm, approachable human being. I work using an Integrative approach which helps us develop and build a therapeutic relationship from which we will be able to explore the issues which you bring to therapy, at your pace.

If you would like more information I would be happy to speak with you on the phone.
