Counsellor Profile
I am a highly trained and experienced humanistic psychotherapist and counsellor, practising in central Petersfield. I work with a wide range of issues.
My work helps individuals to find their own answers to manage the challenges they face. I do this by listening carefully to what is being said; asking questions and giving honest feedback about what I see and hear. Often, noticing what isn't being talked about is just as important as listening to what is.
I continually strive to find the most appropriate and effective method to work with each person.
Training, Qualifications & Experience (more info)
Since 1991 I have completed over 2,500 hours of personal work and training at Spectrum, London, (www.spectrumtherapy.co.uk).
Foundation Course in Counselling Skills - 1999
One Year Course in Psychotherapy - 2000
Post Graduate Course in Psychotherapy - 2002
Prior to leaving London, I worked for eight years in an investment bank in the City. I bring my previous professional experience to my work; I know how the stress of a high level job can have an impact on someone's life and I also have experience of how organisations can begin to replicate family dynamics.
