About me

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by life’s many challenges? Perhaps you’re in a dilemma, finding it hard to make a decision. You may be feeling anxious or stressed, unable to cope. You may have gone through a life-changing experience, such as bereavement, disability or other loss. Or are the demands of work so unrelenting, you cannot switch off and long for a work-life balance?

How Counselling Therapy can help

It can be very beneficial to talking to a counsellor, someone who listens to you without judging, who will help you express your feelings and discover your own answers.

A highly experienced and qualified therapist, I am based both in Enfield (North London) and London Bridge/Borough (close to the City of London). I work with both individuals and couples.

I offer a safe, confidential environment where you can explore at your own pace whatever is troubling you. My approach to counselling therapy is warm and welcoming, supportive and professional. I provide a space where you can talk, reflect and gain insights that can have a real, positive impact on your life.

Over the years I have worked with clients, both individuals and couples, on issues such as:

  • Anxiety and depression, and loss of confidence
  • Bereavement and loss, and traumatic experiences
  • Couples, partner, marriage difficulties (intimacy, infidelity, jealousy)
  • Living with illness or disability (yours or someone you love)
  • Work-related stress (fast pace of change, use of technology, long/unsocial hours)

Please do visit my website where you will find much more about the way I work and how counselling therapy can help whether in Enfield, London Bridge or the City (Monument/Bank).

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
