Profile

I am a fully qualified person-centred counsellor working in private practice in Morpeth. I offer one-to-one counselling to individuals over 16 years of age. Most of my clients refer themselves for counselling. I provide counselling for employees through EAP programmes.I have also worked in a GP practice, which has given me experience of counselling clients on a wide range of issues.
Previously I have worked in education with a background in teaching, which has given me particular insight into the issues that affect schools staff. I welcome enquiries from schools wishing to make counselling available to their school staff.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I am a BACP Accredited counsellor and UKRCP Registered Independent counsellor.

I have a Higher National Diploma in Counselling.
Also, I have a BA(Hons) Sociology and Social Administration.

I have also attended many courses relevant to my counselling style which have enhanced my knowledge, skills and understanding.

I offer mentoring for those interested in making a change in a particular area of their life eg. moving into employment, education or enterprise.

Counselling takes place in pleasant, quiet and comfortable consulting rooms in the centre of Morpeth. I aim to create a safe, warm environment in which clients feel able to relax and fully explore their issues, in confidence.
