Strategies for Health & Well Being

Our health and well being is a very important aspect to our body. If we have an emotional or a physical ailment our body suffers, for instance if a particular part of the body is out of balance, this causes dis-ease which can manifest into all sorts of conditions which has a negative effect on our health and well being.
So it's imperative we look after ourselves. It's not just about healthy eating and exercise it's having the awareness when we are overloaded, tired, feeling angry or upset by other peoples comments. There are so many quick and easy ways of keeping that dis-ease at bay. Although to achieve that we need the following:-
1. Awareness of our body
2. Giving ourselves permission to make changes
3. Allowing ourselves time
Relaxation &/or Meditation
Incorporate a 5 minute relaxation/meditation into your daily routine.
While you're getting dressed of a morning say your positive affirmations to yourself. Remember your "Thoughts Become Things":-
I am loveable
I am worthy
I have so much to offer this world
I am inclined to succeed
I was born to thrive
Find Your Voice
1. It's ok to say No
2. You are allowed to say how you are feeling, although try and say it with love and compassion.
3. Being aware of peoples projections e.g. When our loved ones or work colleagues are over worked, tired or under pressure they may sometimes project their downfalls or misgivings onto us. If we aren't aware of this we may take their toxic comments on board when actually they aren't our comments to hold or internalize. So we need to get rid of them, the easiest way is by visualising you are physically holding the words and throwing them out of the window. Notice how you are feeling once you've done it. You don't need that comment it's definitely not yours.
Keep a regular sleep schedule
Create a relaxing bedtime routine
Relaxation techniques before bed are a great way to calm the mind and prepare for sleep. Some simple relaxation techniques include:-
Deep Breathing - Close your eyes, take deep slow breaths, making each breath deeper than the last.
Progressive muscle relaxation - Starting at your toes, tense all the muscles as tightly as you can, then completely relax. Work your way up from your feet to the top of your head.
Visualising a peaceful restful place - Still with your eyes closed imagine a place that is calming and peaceful for you. Concentrate on how relaxed this place makes you feel.

By incorporating Counselling and/or Holistic Therapies with one or all of the above self healing exercises you will soon notice a difference within your body, mind and spirit. Your confidence will shine through, your self worth will be the highest ever and your awareness of your needs will excel.
