Now Health Minister Lesley Griffiths has launched a strategy to end stigma surrounding mental health and to ensure vulnerable groups have the support and treatment they need.
The strategy, named ‘Together for Mental Health’ will focus on improving the lives of those suffering from mental health problems by providing the tools for them to live as independently as possible.
People of all ages are expected to benefit from the scheme, which is backed by mental health charity Mind Cymru. They said: “We would want to see the implementation of the strategy and the Mental Health Measure to improve the mental health and wellbeing of people living in Wales.”
