Do your bit for mental health
Mental Health organisation Time to Change (led by mental health charities Mind and Rethink) are asking you to help them get the nation talking about mental health discrimination by volunteering at one of their 2011 roadshows.
Throughout the summer of 2011 Time to Change will be travelling the width and breadth of the country, paying a visit to a street or festival near you. The idea is to get people talking about mental health in a bid to break the silence and discrimination which surrounds it.
Time to Change needs more manpower to help them spread their message and are asking for volunteers to give just three hours of their time to talk to people about mental health.
All volunteers will receive full training, support on the day, lunch and travel expenses and above all the opportunity to meet new people and to contribute towards ending mental health discrimination.
Visit the Time to Change website for information about the Roadshows which have been confirmed and if you are interested email volunteer@time-to-change.org.uk detailing where you are from so that Time to Change can get back to you with more information.
