Charity ball raises £10,000 for Mind

Denise Welch and Tim Healy’s annual ball has raised a staggering £10k for the work of mental health charity Mind.

The fundraising bash which was held in November at the Lancashire Country Cricket Club’s The Point, had a psychedelic sixties theme which saw some of our favourite TV faces transported back in time.

750 guests were treated to an evening of entertainment with dancers, a replica of the famous Abbey Road crossing, mods, mopeds, a mini and swinging sixties singing from some of the guests.

All of the funds raised will support Mind’s Legal Line service, a service which encourages callers to stand up for their mental health rights and take back control of their lives.

As it stands, Mind’s legal service is the only one of its kind in England which offers legal advice and information about mental health related law including mental health, mental capacity, community care, human rights and discrimination/equality issues related to mental health.
