Early Alzheimer’s detection
A simple blood test could detect Alzheimer’s 10 years in advance.
At the start of this month experts revealed that a very simple and inexpensive blood test could be the key to the early detection of Alzheimer’s and can spot it up to around 10 years before symptoms start to develop.
This is a huge development in the field and though it means the amount of people being diagnosed would almost triple, it could also mean a surge of interest and funding for research and most importantly would allow time for much earlier prescriptions as well as giving sufferers and their families as much time as possible to prepare for the future.
The blood test could be available in as little as three years.
