I think it's true for any kind of addiction. That's a huge argument in ''women can't controll themselves'' discussion. I have also read recently that addictions tend to transfer. So if in this economic situation gambling addicts can't support their addiction, they are most likely to get addicted to alcohol, drugs, sex, etc. That’s a great news for me that women are less likely to become gambling addicts than men.
